ZIMBABWE INSTITUTE OF WILDLIFE CONSERVATION(ZIWC): was established in 1981 and officially opened by the Minister of Natural Resources. The institute is wholly owned and funded by the Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority. The College is accredited by the Ministry of Higher & Tertiary Education Examination Council of Zimbabwe. This is Zimbabwe’s prime Examination Board(HEXCO), the college is also affiliated with National University of Science & Technology for Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Wildlife & Protected Area Management(BSc).

The college offers the following facilities:

Since its establishment the college has trained many students under Wildlife management courses. As a wildlife conservation college it aims to produce highly trained wildlife managers and officers aimed in protecting and conserving wildlife and endangered species.

ZIMBABWE INSTITUTE OF WILDLIFE CONSERVATION(ZIWC):

is the only college in Zimbabwe that is located within a sanctuary hence it offers students with hands on experience and a typical safari environment. As the college is wholly owned by the Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority(ZIMPARKS), the students can enjoy the facilities and experiences offered by other recreational and national parks, safari areas, sanctuaries and botanical gardens that are owned by the authority.
