Living Classroom: ZIWC Students Explore Sustainable Farming at Shashe

On Monday, June 8, twenty ZIWC National Certificate students, accompanied by Principal Dr. G. Matipano and Senior Lecturer Pedzisai Batisayi, visited Shashe Agroecology School near Mashava They learned about biogas digesters, beekeeping, seed banks preserving indigenous crops like nyevhe, and medicinal herbs such as lemongrass. Teacher Nelson Mudzingwa shared a powerful message:  "We are connected with the environment, especially the soil, which is our last bedroom."  Students left inspired to integrate ancestral wisdom with modern Village Tourism, committing to sustainable, culturally grounded conservation practices.
